This blog was untouched for 14 years. When I last updated, Obama was president. Then came Trump, then Biden, then Trump. Xi replaced Hu. Brexit, Higgs boson, Curiosity and Perseverance. Black Lives Matter, Me Too, Libya, Syria, Isis. Not to mention the unspeakable, grotesque rise of Christian Nationalism and MAGA bigotry. But I’m the same, just older. Still mostly a private atheist astounded at flat earth lunacy (see what I did there) and young earth “thought.” Having revived this blog from it’s wreckage I intend to resume commenting on my impressions. Reviewing old posts and comments I’m still amused by how emphatically, urgently and violently wacko “christian” folks want to send me to hell for disagreeing with them. I have no doubt they’d also be violent in person. Peace be with you.
